Dear Joe,

What a great article! Thank you and thank you again. You have presented Chaumette in the best possible light and I am grateful. The description of the spa and villas even makes me want to go to Chaumette.

The quotes from several very credible guests are third party endorsements that carry a lot of weight. The photography is terrific, particularly the shots of the tasting room and the inside view of the barrel room. I was delighted with the description of “carefully landscaped and expertly maintained grounds” and “storybook landscape”.

In today’s mail I received a copy of the article and a warm note from the President of the local hospital saying that he looks forward to the next time the hospital books an event at Chaumette. There’s some real impact from the article and I am sure there will be more. You did a great job.

The Columbia Convention and Visitors Bureau recently commissioned a survey to determine meeting and convention planner perceptions of Columbia's facilities and services. The survey included questions related to other areas such as "What professional meeting periodicals do you most often read?" The response to that question was surprising. 73% listed Missouri Meetings and Events as the publication they most often read, followed by Successful Meetings at 45.9% and Midwest Meetings at 37.8%
We had 52 planners return the survey. These were corporate and association planners from throughout the state of Missouri and they represented a range of meeting sizes (from less than 100 to more than 1000 attendees). Woodruff Communications supervised the study. It is considered statistically valid. We will be conducting this same research annually and will share the results with you each year.
