In the heart of St. Louis’ iconic arts and entertainment district known as The Loop, a new moon has risen. The Moonrise Hotel – the city’s first and only luxury boutique hotel – officially opened April 17, 2009. The contemporary, $23.5 million hotel is located at 6177 Delmar Boulevard in the most eclectic and vibrant area in St. Louis. Its central location and brilliant balancing of business and leisure make the Moonrise Hotel the hospitality experience the city has been longing for.
The most recent addition to the Desires Hotel collection, the Moonrise Hotel is the brainchild of Loop entrepreneur Joe Edwards. Located just steps away from the Delmar Loop MetroLink Station along one of the “10 Great Streets in America” (as designated by the American Planning Association), the Moonrise Hotel is bookended by Edwards’ Pageant concert nightclub and quirky Pin-Up Bowl. It is also conveniently located within walking distance of Forest Park, Washington University and premier retail and restaurants, and is a short 10-minute drive from downtown. The hotel features 125 guestrooms, 10 “Walk of Fame” suites and 2,000 square feet of meeting space. To top it all off, the building features the world’s largest rotating replica of the moon, weighing in at 1.5 tons.
Guests can enjoy extraordinary views of the St. Louis skyline from the hotel’s roof-top terrace bar and creative cuisine from the Eclipse restaurant on the main floor.
Reservations are available for the Moonrise Hotel at 314-721-1111 and Eclipse Restaurant at 314-726-2222.
