The American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) & the Center for Association Leadership are the premier professional organizations for association professionals. ASAE & the Center offer membership benefits for a wide variety of professionals working with and in associations, including CEOs, industry partners, students and consultants. Today more than 22,000 professionals are linked through this international organization.

Beth Quick-Andrews, CAE, is the executive director of the St. Louis Society of Association Executives, an allied society of ASAE & the Center, she has been a member of ASAE & the Center for 10 years. Seeing many benefits to her membership, she says, “It is invaluable to network with peers and participate in high quality professional development. Different perspectives help me to shape what works for our members.”

ASAE & the Center offer members resources to help them grow professionally and learn from their fellow members. One such opportunity is the Knowledge Center. This members-only, personalized research service allows professionals to pose a question about association management and learn from ASAE & the Center’s extensive library of models, samples, articles, white papers, case studies and other resources. Because the membership base of the organization is diverse, ASAE & the Center offer 14 different Professional Interest Sections, including communications, membership, legal and technology. Each section includes unique e-newsletters, professional development opportunities, networking experiences and access to section listservs. The organization also boasts nearly 100 professional development seminars and symposia around the country, including an annual meeting, which takes place August 15-18 in Toronto, Ontario.

CEO-level members will find a unique level of membership benefits to help them successfully manage their associations and grow their knowledge bases. While Missouri does not offer ASAE & the Center chapters, there are two allied societies that operate in the state.
